Safety

At Cecchini Group, safety is our top priority on all projects, and we are committed to providing the highest level of corporate due diligence protection for our staff, clients, and consultants. Our workplace health and safety track record is excellent, and we take pride in delivering projects safely, exceeding industry best practices.

Throughout the construction process, we will have a full-time safety officer on site, and a fully equipped first aid station. Safety orientations are conducted for all new employees and workers, and all workers are required to wear CSA-approved work gear (including hard hats, safety boots, protective eyewear, and high visibility vests) at all times.

Additionally, we work with a third-party health and safety group, Tickner Safety, to ensure that all our projects comply with applicable safety laws and to help implement our Health and Safety program.

Estimating

We oversee the project budget from beginning to end, developing a budget for all building deliverables. This budget monitors all stages of design development and incorporates any cost changes, ensuring all costs are accounted for at critical milestones.

Value Engineering

We promote value engineering and performance improvement to enhance project delivery. We assess design for constructability, efficiency, and cost, identifying risks early. By considering construction constraints and involving subcontractors in pre-construction, we achieve savings through improved logistics and alternative designs.

Project Permit & Regulatory Authority Management

We have extensive experience working with city regulatory authorities on bylaws, zoning, approvals, and permits. Our project team oversees building permits and we can suggest strategies to expedite timelines, such as securing conditional permits for shoring and excavation for an early construction start.

Procurement Strategy

We will develop a procurement schedule to address critical packages and long lead items early in the design phase. Our goal is to shorten the procurement period by proactively engaging subcontractors and prioritizing long lead items.

Risk Identification & Management

Effective risk management is essential for project success. Cecchini Group identifies potential risks early and establishes strategies to avoid or mitigate them. All risks and responses are continuously reported, monitored, and updated throughout the project.
